Types of Dental Bone Graft Materials

Allograft: Donated human bone processed by a tissue bank. These grafts are sold by authorized distributors of surgical supplies, such as Global Dental Shop, which sources them from licensed donor banks.

Xenograft: Animal-derived bone graft material, typically sourced from bovine (cow) or porcine (pig) bone and processed by a licensed tissue bank.

Alloplast: Synthetic bone graft material made in a laboratory. One common example is TCP (Tricalcium Phosphate).

Autogenous: The patient’s own bone, harvested from another area of the jaw or body.
